Peninsula/Bay Area Junior Sales Professional
Pacific Sash & Design is a San Francisco Bay Area based small business that manufactures and distributes luxury fenestration products, architectural hardware, and high-performance building materials throughout the United States. We are seeking a motivated individual looking to be part of a dynamic, fast growing, family-oriented company that can expand and service the Peninsula and Central Bay Area territory. The primary objective of the position is to earn a six figure income by selling our products to architects, general contractors, designers, and developers. An integral part of the position is learning to build strong relationships with vendors and clients, as well as becoming a trusted, high value resource in the building community.
Position Summary:
This full-time junior sales position is excellent for an individual with a passion for design, architecture, building science, and construction, who is hungry to earn commissions and is seeking a distinguished business environment. The position requires an outgoing personality, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to listen and retain technical information. A professional attitude and solid communications skills will be necessary to interface with both vendors, clients and the Pacific Team.
The professional compensation package is commensurate with an entry level sales position and will include our industry leading benefit package and a commissioned income structure. Top performers have potential to earn a six figure income in their second year.
Responsibilities:
- Driving territory to prospect and visit architects, contractors, construction sites
- Developing new clientele and working with some in house key accounts
- Maintaining a clean and professional appearance
- Host client lunches, PK presentations, coffee meetings, as needed
- Present products to clients at local showroom or with traveling samples
- Quoting/Estimating projects for multiple products
- Returning Quotes in a timely manner
- Create/maintain a forecast and follow up with active quotes
- Contribute to monthly sales meetings
- Maintaining relationships with key vendors and their associated staff
- Facilitating CAD drawing processes
- Create purchase orders and coordinate with accounting, as needed
- Coordinate with vendors for delivery of product, as needed
- Respond to service calls and integrate with service departments
- Professional development via tradeshows, certifications, factory visits, industry trainings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of construction sales trade work
- Architectural sales and/or building material sales experience, preferred
- Custom wood, steel, clad window and door sales experience, preferred
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, CRM, Mac, PC
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage complex details of project management
- Ability to maintain composure under deadlines and time constraints
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and love for the professional sales process
- Strong desire to grow and add indispensable value to the sales force
- Strong math skills and familiarity with construction details and blueprints
- Have own vehicle, CA drivers license, insurance, and clean driving record
- Energetic sales attitude and be comfortable on construction sites
- Physically able to sit & stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds occasionally
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle in line with company ethos
- Strong interest in high performance, resilient building practices, a plus
- Desire to develop product presentation skills
